Hahu reads your email so you don't have to. That only works if you can trust us with it, so this page says plainly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do.
Hahu is a product of Foodhero Tech Private Limited (CIN U74110MH2015PTC270052), a company registered in India with its registered office at B2201, 22nd Floor, Imperial Heights, Behind Oshiwara Goregaon Depot, Goregaon West, Mumbai 400104, Maharashtra, India. In these pages, “Hahu”, “we” and “us” mean Foodhero Tech Private Limited.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address from the Google account you sign in with.
- Your Gmail data. With your permission, through Google's official API: the messages in your inbox (sender, subject, content and labels) and the ability to label, mark as read, move to spam and unsubscribe.
- Your Slack connection. The workspace and user Hahu sends your alerts and summaries to.
- Your corrections. When you tell Hahu it got something wrong, we keep that so it gets it right next time.
- A history of Hahu's actions, so you can see and undo anything it did for 30 days.
- Payment details. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data such as log records and device and browser type, used to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
Only to run Hahu for you: to decide which emails need you, act on the ones that don't, send you alerts and your 9 AM and 6 PM summaries in Slack, learn from your corrections, bill you, and answer you when you contact us.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never use your email for advertising.
- We never use your email to train general AI models, ours or anyone else's.
- No person at Hahu reads your email unless you ask us to (for example, to fix a problem), it is needed for security or abuse investigation, or the law requires it.
Google user data
Hahu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove Hahu's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions.
Who else handles your data
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, only to run Hahu: cloud hosting, AI processing used to understand each email, Slack for delivering your messages, and Razorpay for payments. They may use your data only to provide their service to us, and the AI providers we use do not train their models on it.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. Hahu's action history is kept for 30 days so you can undo anything. If you disconnect Gmail or delete your account, we delete your email data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records such as invoices.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access inside Hahu is limited to what is needed to run and support the service.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to hello@heyhahu.com. Withdrawing consent to Gmail access means Hahu can no longer work for you. We handle requests under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other laws that apply to you.
Children
Hahu is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in Slack before the change takes effect.
